Automated defenses in the station. Library of souls we can get to.

Defenses – mobile, stationary

Semi intelligent organizing mind behind the defenses. Reacts badly when it’s been tried to breach the defenses.

Possible entrance that hasn’t been tried yet…

Outer ring of defenses that Broche 4’s current occupants man, is the only part he’s in control of. The ring is original. The express elevator is original but just goes straight to the center of the station.

We agree to allow Lucifer to continue as is with his current operations in opposition to OA.

He sends us files from previous expeditions.

Certain amount of trust for merchants already on the station’s ring.

Nasty traps, gun emplacements, automatons

Comms are jammed/inconsistent

Station is a honeycomb of vertical passages with isolated traversable areas between outer ring and inner core.

Expeditions have been to small areas of housing or workplaces and encountered aggressive automated defenses.

Definitely an AI

time between contacts decreases exponentially as the expeditions progressed. The station is very modular. Powered separately.

Individual door power didn’t set off the defenses.

Portable generators/batteries spliced into existing doors.(brought in)

more effectively avoided AI for a little longer…

could be distributed AI… with control nodes in each section He gives us an image of a control node: liquid filled container with some kind of mechanical parts. About 1 meter high. Central unit of Goro’s AI. we’d be looking for something similar.

Rope

Mini-ring station hiding area with 2 patrol boats (look like stolen OA patrol boats). They welcome us to dock. Ships are attached and powered down.

Bring 2 bedelman suits back to Broche 4.

Enter into the ancient Bedelman Station part of Broche 4

Semiglobular protusion with semiglobular protrusions on it at the top of the stairs. Toward the top of it, a tube goes up and into the wall. Some sort of conduit. Air vents around the room. Slight rotten egg smell to the area.

Walls are plain and practical instead of usual artistry shown on the walls like was in the bunker.

Control station: higher concentration of ammonia in the air closer to it. Bedelman like a higher concentration of ammonia.

Mick crawls through the vents and accesses some rooms. One has a stasis pod with 2 unpowered workstations with 2 interfaces for each station

The power button is blinking on the semiglobular protrusion in Room 1. The conduit coming out of the protrusion is a thick bundle of wiring. Some of the wires have a weak current going through them. Seems to be just current, not data going through the bundle.

Former expedition notes: the semiglobular thing may be a reactor control panel…
