HdrastaDoor.jpg

Introduction

We continue at 6:30PM on the 29th of Anurilden (00.000.08.01 on the Apocalypse Clock) with the party having rested fifteen hours to regain spells, charge batteries, and give clan Thuridan's craftsmen time to repair Buzz. They have also made plans with Lolth to travel by web portal to the abandoned griffon nest above the entrance to Hdrasta. Once there, the group hopes to avoid DVL entanglements and make their way to the vault door they can now open with the three stones from the Oswithan Chosen One's bracer. What dangers await in Hdrasta and can the party overcome or avoid them on their way to the mystery door? Will that door actually open and is there anything useful inside? Find out next time; or not.

Larry's Summary

We determined which spells Kauri has or wants to learn that are also available as blood magic spells. Rocket Launcher is 3 slots.

We do a lot of packing the horses. We decide to leave some stuff behind with Clan Thuridan including Buzz who is not yet repaired.

Distribute batteries and Ancient Dwarven weapons, leaving items in The Necropolis.

Learning new spells for Kauri.

Brewed some potions.

We rest of 12 hours.

We get Lambertus intoxicated and use the numbing agent to remove the stone to use the scepter to heal and restore his arm. We tie him up before starting so the scepter effect does not make him run off.

Lambertus casts Silence 15' radius to hide any screams from the crowd, and messes it up doing a different spells sigil.

It is Dispel Magic, which we didn't have, but drunk Lambertus discovered it.

The procedure is a success.

Lambertus failed his save vs. fear.

Lambertus wants to bury his arm, but Velin has Vikram slice off the section of god stone that glows like the god stones we had for a while.

Kauri argues it is not good. It can be used to power memorizing spells, or use as a battery for emergency.
